Bulb colour temperature and kelvinBulb colour is measured as temperature, this is shown on a scale known as the Kelvin scale. You will notice this quoted around our site as a figure such as '2500K' This is two thousand five hundred Kelvin.
The picture to the right gives a rough idea of bulb colour temperatures. The bulb temperature not only determines 'bulb colour' output but also the visual performance of a halogen bulb. As a short analogy Yellow light contains less colours of the light spectrum so refracts very little, giving better vision in rain, mist and fog, but on the flip side travels lesser distance.
Once you have received your halogen bulbs, please be sure not to touch the glass part, as this could cause bulb failure.
If you do accidentally touch the glass, please clean the bulb with a little isopropyl alcohol before fitting.
